Jesse Weaver Shipley, who will be published in ST 117, will appear at a film screening of Is It Sweet?: Tales of an African Superstar in New York. at the CUNY-Graduate Center on November 5th. His article, “Television Tricksters: Parody and Contradiction in Ghanian Melodrama,” will be featured in the Winter 2013 issue of Social Text.
