He was born in Guatemala City and has written about Latin America, literature, and sports for Rolling Stone, Playboy, Men's Vogue, Fox News Latino and Time. He has worked on the editorial staff at Newsweek, the New Yorker, and ESPN Books. Currently, he's a staff editor at the Sunday New York Times Magazine.
